| 中文描述 | 紅血球數目的增加以及血紅素濃度跟紅細胞壓縮體積的上升稱之為紅血球過多症. 初級的紅血球過多症是一種很少見的疾病.他是屬於骨髓增生性的疾病導致過度製造紅血球;這也與紅血球生長激素有些許的關聯.此種病的診斷是藉由紅血球的增加但是沒有出現血氧過少的症狀.正常或較低的紅血球生成素的血清濃度而使紅細胞壓縮體積上升的現象與初級的紅血球過多症的診斷結果一致,但不包含次級多細胞血症. |

| 英文描述 | Erythrocytosis (polycythemia) is an increase in the erythrocyte count, hemoglobin concentration, and PCV. Primary erythrocytosis is a rare disease characterized by a myeloproliferative disorder leading to overproduction of RBC; there are associated low levels of erythropoietin. Dx by increased red cell indices without a primary cause such as hypoxemia. Normal or low serum erythropoietin concentration with high PCV is consistent with a diagnosis of primary erythrocytosis but does not exclude secondary polycythemia. |
